Instagram Engagement Drop? Here’s What Happened. A few weeks ago, I noticed my Instagram visibility and engagement metrics were way down. I stayed focused on real estate and client work, but something felt off… Then, while trying to share content from Threads, I found out my Threads account was blocked due to suspicious activity (even though I only reposted a few Instagram reels). That’s when I started digging. Sure enough—one of my Facebook accounts was hacked. 😱
Since my social media accounts were all linked, it triggered issues across platforms. So I:
•Recovered access
•Set up two-factor authentication
•Cleaned everything up
•Deleted Threads (felt so good!)
•Now rebuilding my Instagram reach and engagement rate As of today—I’m back on track.

Click on ‘Account’ from the list, and you will find the ‘Delete or Deactivate profile’ option. Choosing ‘Deactivate’ will archive all your posts, and you can reactivate your account later. Opting for ‘Delete’ will delete your account without affecting the linked Instagram account. 3. Select the ‘Delete’ option, and your Threads account will be deleted.
