Make THRUSTERS MUCH easier in CrossFit Open 26.3 😌🏋🏼‍♀️☝🏼 MY TOP SHOE RECOMMENDATIONS: Nr 1: Nike Savaleo = SUPER light shoe, flexible in toes. Nr 2: Nike Metcon 10 ( add extra heel riser if needed) ✅ Mobility → hips → shoulders 🤸🏼‍♂️ ✅ Keep your chest up⬆️ TECHNIQUE THRUSTER👇🏻🏋🏼‍♀️ ❌Common Mistakes: Leaning forward/can’t sit upright = weights will pull you forward ↗️ = MUCH HARDER thruster & puts a lot of weight/pressure on your lower back 😟🙅🏼‍♂️ ✅ HOW TO FIX THE PROBLEM⤵️ 1. Keep your squat upright, add a heel riser in your normal training shoe or weightlifting shoes/weight plate under your heels. 2. Keep your “chest up” all the time. 3. Try different foot widths & find the one that feels most comfortable & strongest 🦵🏻 4. With time you can lower the heel riser until you don’t need it anymore. Doing the proper technique will give you much better mobility and be faster when you use a heel riser 👊🏼 ℹ️ Technique improvement explained: • Legs will absorb the impact and rebound, sending the power back to the barbell, making it float up overhead with much less effort 🏋🏼‍♀️ #crossfitopen #barbellthruster #thruster #thrustertechnique #crossfitgames

Thruster tips for the 2026 CF Open 👇🏻 P.s I’m making tips reels for all the CF Open movements, follow @liammanwaring for more! 1️⃣ Squat Clean the First Rep DON’T Power Clean the first rep then have to Front Squat the first rep… drop straight into a Squat Clean to speed things up. You’re saving time in workouts if you do this every time you start a Thruster set! 2️⃣ Keeping Braced in Bottom Position Don’t lose tension in the bottom of the squat (especially if its heavy) Keep your core braced, keep your elbows high, controlled bounce out of the bottom. If you let your torso collapse here you’re way more likely to miss reps. 3️⃣ Breathe and Rest at the Top If you’re taking a rest mid set but don’t want to drop the bar (more energy expended getting it back up)… DON’T rest in the Front Rack (bar on shoulders) Rest at the TOP of each rep. Arms locked out, ribcage stacked. Quick breath, then begin the descent into the next rep. Hope these help ✌🏼
