Why is there a queue?
In addition to blocking sus account behavior, the queue helps to pace how many fans can shop at one time. (Only a few hundred people can shop at once, which is why it can seem like the queue is moving slowly.) This gives you a better chance of finding and purchasing the seats you want, since you’re only competing against real, human fans for those seats.
What’s the best strategy for the Ticketmaster queue?
When you’re ready to shop for tickets, we recommend doing the following:
1. Sign in and make sure your payment/billing info is up to date before the ticket sale starts. 💳
2. Check that your phone number is correct (again, before the sale starts). 📲
3. Join the waiting room before the ticket sale begins—waiting rooms typically open 15-30 minutes ahead of time. ⏰
4. Use one browser, tab or device per queue—using multiple tabs will cause errors. ⚠️
And for the love of Gaga, DON’T REFRESH. ❌
Your page will automatically refresh when you enter the queue, so there’s no need to. Doing this could get you flagged as a bot and booted from the sale. 💻

Here are 5 secrets Ticketmaster doesn’t want you to know 👀 :
1️⃣ Presales are everything. Nearly 90% of tickets are gone before the “general sale” even starts.
If you’re not registered for presales (fan club, membership, credit card, artist links…), you’re already out of the game.
2️⃣ The queue isn’t random. Accounts with purchase history and activity are often prioritized.
That’s why testing multiple accounts is key some will consistently get better spots.
3️⃣ Dynamic pricing is a trap. Standard seats can be re-labeled as “Platinum” and sold at 2x or 3x the price.
Always double check the section, and compare with the resale market sometimes resale is actually cheaper than Ticketmaster itself.
4️⃣ Timing matters. Don’t always rush in the second sales open. Sometimes, coming in a bit later lets you avoid overpriced Platinum seats and grab normal tickets people left behind.
