In this video, we’re working on a Volkswagen Touran with a 1.4 TSI petrol engine, engine code CAVC. Tapping or rattling noise on the engine side especially when starting. 2. Timing errors (Check Engine). 3. Loss of power, uneven engine operation or ignition skips, uneven idling. 4. Increased fuel consumption. 5. Difficult to start the engine, especially when cold, requires a longer starter. 6. Regular chain stretching on certain Land Rover engines (e.g. Ingenium 2.0, V6 and V8 Supercharged) the chain can stretch as early as 60,000 miles. ❗️Recommendation: if the first symptoms appear, it is better to immediately contact a specialist and undergo diagnostics. If you replace the chain in time, you can save thousands on engine repairs.
