Your tonsillar nodes are one of the most overlooked spots when it comes to lymphatic drainage. Yes you still need to clear them even if you have had them removed! They sit just under the jawline, near the angle of your jaw, and help drain your face, sinuses, mouth and brain. If this area is congested, you might notice puffiness, pressure, or even a swollen look under your jaw or around your cheeks or around your eyes. You might even notice things like brain fog, headaches or tonsillar stones This is a key area I always include in facial drainage routines. Clearing your tonsillar nodes helps reduce facial swelling, supports sinuses drainage, and allows your brain to remove the toxins and waste products. And quick note about the video: I made the music louder so you can hear the beat. That’s the speed I am moving my fingers to, that way you can follow along more easily. You are going to do 10-30 pumps (just like your termini 😉) If music while I talk isn’t your thing, no worries. That’s why I added captions so you can mute your phone and still get every step. Trying to please as many people as possible 😉😍 #happydraining #tonsil #tonsillarnode #tonsilstones #lymph #lymphaticdrainage #lymphdrainage

Parents may notice some lumps below your child's jaw, down the sides of the neck, in the back of the neck. So what are they and should we be concern? These lumps are called lymph nodes. They are common and can easily be felt on children's necks as compared to adults since they have less fat around that area. These bean-like 🫘 structures are part of the immune system that help get rid of unwanted germs in the body. They become larger whenever there is an infection ( Common cold, the Flu or Sore Throats ) . These swellings are usually temporary and are mostly harmless. Rarely swollen lymph nodes can be a sign of a more serious condition like cancer. When you should bring your child to see a doctor : ✅ Persistent swelling : Lymph nodes that remain enlarge for more than a few weeks. ✅ Large lymph nodes : Lymph nodes that are 2 cm of larger. ✅ Rapid growth : Nodes that grow quickly and are larger than expected ✅ Pain : Significant pain can mean the lymph nodes may become infected. ✅ Redness : Redness in the skin over the lymph node may be a sign that it may be an abscess and may need drainage. ✅ Appearance : Hard, non-movable or irregularly shaped lymph nodes. ✅ Other symptoms : Persistent fever, night sweats, loss of appetite , loss of weight , fatigue . Your doctor may order some blood test and may even suggest for a biopsy if there is any worrying features and cause of concern.

Found a swollen lymph node and feeling anxious? Don’t panic. As a Hematologist, I want you to know that most swollen lymph nodes are NOT cancer. What matters is: • Size – small nodes are usually benign • Pain – painful nodes often mean infection • Duration – nodes lasting more than 4–6 weeks need evaluation Painless, rubbery, large lymph nodes that persist should be checked with a physical exam and blood tests. If needed, a biopsy can give clear answers. Early evaluation saves lives — and even lymphoma is highly treatable when caught early. Share this with someone worried about a lump. #SwollenLymphNode #LymphNode #CancerAwareness #LymphomaAwareness #MedicalReels #DoctorReels #HealthReels #MedicalShorts #HealthEducation #Hematology #KnowTheSigns #EarlyDetection #PatientEducation #Don’tPanic

My health anxiety is fairly non existent except when it comes to my 🫀however, I found a swollen lymph node and well…. I have a smidge of anxiety. Using my nursing brain and NOT my overthinking brain, I had to share this: 📌 Swollen Lymph Nodes After Illness (remember: I had pnuemonia) After an illness, your lymph nodes may stay swollen for a while as your body recovers. Here’s why: 🔹 Healing Process – Even after symptoms fade, your immune system continues working. 🔹 Lingering Inflammation – Your lymph nodes may stay enlarged as they clear out infection remnants. 🔹 Secondary Infections – A new or lingering infection can keep them swollen. 🔹 Overactive Immune Response – Conditions like autoimmune diseases can prolong swelling. 💡 When to Be Concerned: If swelling lasts more than 2-4 weeks, becomes painful, or is accompanied by fever, night sweats, or weight loss, see a doctor. #SwollenLymphNodes #LymphNodes #HealthAwareness #ImmuneSystem #WellnessTips #StayHealthy #Lymphadenopathy #naturalaging #freckles #BodySignals #MedicalAdvice #HealthTips #ImmuneHealth #PostIllnessRecovery #knowyourbodybetter #HealthAnxiety #AnxietyAwareness #MindOverMatter #HealthMindset #MentalHealthMatters #WellnessJourney #Overthinking #YouAreNotAlone #AnxietySupport #HealthWorries #CopingStrategies #HealingMind #hypochondria #healthanxietyawareness

This is what a cancer-filled lymph node looks like. It was a typical August day in 2011 and I absentmindedly touched what I thought was my collarbone... felt this weird lump… within three weeks, a biopsy confirmed it was cancer. That’s how quickly life can take a turn. I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Hodgkin’s lymphoma resulting in 4 months of chemotherapy and another month of daily radiation. Life sucked for a while. But here I am. 14 years and counting. #earlydetectionsaveslives #knowyourbody #getcheckedout #cancersucks #cancersurvivor #hodgkinslymphoma #hodgkinslymphomasurvivor #september #hodgkinslymphomaawareness #bloodcancer #bloodcancerawareness

Comment LYMPH & I’ll send the detox + lymphatic drainage info right over. Tonsil stones aren’t just annoying. They’re also a sign your lymphatic system is overloaded. Your lymph system helps filter waste, bacteria, and toxins. When it becomes sluggish, debris like mucus, dead cells, and food particles can get trapped in the tonsils and harden into stones. Poor diet, low hydration, little movement, and environmental toxins can all slow lymph flow. This same congestion can also show up as facial puffiness, fatigue, acne, or frequent colds. Tonsil stones are a signal, not the root problem. Supporting detox and lymphatic pathways can help reduce toxic buildup and take pressure off the system. The detox pack is designed to bind and remove waste, so the body can clear what doesn’t belong. Tonsillectomy is one of the most common surgeries, but it can be prevented just like other ailments. They don’t tell you that your tonsils are lymph nodes! Removing them puts excess burden on the lymphatic system, and thus your cells. One has to work harder to stay healthy when they have them removed. 🚨FLASH SALE🚨 (TODAY-ONLY) For everyone who’s been waiting for an insane deal from Choq - TODAY IS THE DAY! The most common form of extra‑pulmonary TB in India is **cervical lymphadenopathy**, affecting lymph nodes in the neck, often called “scrofula.” Diagnosis typically involves FNAC or biopsy, imaging (ultrasound/CT), and testing for Mycobacterium tuberculosis Treatment is standard **DOTS/anti‑TB regimen**: initial phase with isoniazid + rifampicin + pyrazinamide + ethambutol for \~2 months, followed by continuation with isoniazid + rifampicin for another 4–7 months, depending on response Swelling reduces gradually, though residual lumps or scarring may persist even after treatment completion If pus forms, sometimes incision & drainage may be needed. Compliance with full medication is vital to cure and prevent resistance.

Is surgery the only option for swollen tonsils? Not at all! Tonsils are part of your lymphatic system—if they're inflamed, it's a sign something deeper might be going on in the head and neck. Mouth breathing, hidden infections, and more can all play a role. Before jumping to removal, there are powerful alternatives like laser therapy and ozone treatment to shrink and disinfect the tonsils naturally. 🙌🏼 #HolisticHealing #TonsilHealth #NaturalRemedies #OzoneTherapy #FunctionalMedicine #MouthBreathing #LymphaticHealth #DrMichelleJorgensen #LivingWell #BreatheBetter
