Then a piece of wisdom from Archbishop Desmond Tutu changed everything. He used to tell me: “If you want to understand a problem, you have to go upstream.” So I did. And what I found upstream was DISCONNECTION- from myself, from others, from nature, and from my purpose. That was the root cause of my unhappiness. The truth is, so many of us feel this way- and it’s not our fault. We live in a world that constantly pulls us away from ourselves. So here’s an invitation: Take a deep breath. Put one hand on your heart, one on your stomach. And ask yourself: 👉 How am I feeling- really? 👉 What’s holding me back- really? 👉 Where do I want to be- really?
