It can sometimes look like people fall slower than usual because of how our brains process motion and attention. When something unexpected happens, like someone tripping or slipping, your brain goes into a heightened awareness mode and takes in more visual detail than normal. This can make the moment feel stretched out, almost like slow motion, even though the person is actually falling at a normal speed. Our perception of time briefly changes because the brain is trying to process and remember the event more clearly.
