BIIt’s been a while since I filmed one of these… here’s a normal little pump and pour!
For me, my previous pump was 2.5hrs before so this output is pretty good. I also had a really big morning pump (slept through my MOTN), so I know my tanks need refueling 🤣

VAI started my breastfeeding journey as an undersupplier. 🥲 I tried everything.. food, supplement etc. In the first month, I still remember crying in the bathroom after a confinement staff called my room just to tell me I had overestimated my pump output. “It’s not 40ml,” she said. “It’s only 20.” As if that number defined my worth as a mom. When baby cried, I’d often hear “mummy, maybe not enough. We top up”. As if I was not enough for my baby.
And when one of them asked, “Why you produce so little ah?” I wanted to cry out, “If I knew, don’t you think I’d fix it?”. There was also the “all the other moms here don’t have this problem though” that I got. 😢
What I didn’t get from my confinement centre, I got from my hubby, mom, and close friends who showed up, encouraged me, and reminded me I wasn’t failing.
We didn’t give up. And finally, I manage to fully breastfeed Asher from two months plus. There’s now even a little stash in the freezer that reminds me how far we’ve come now. ❤️
We did it. We made it to our 6 month goal 🥹
My new goal? — okay, no new goal.. anything after today is a bonus.

PHAnyone else HATE the pump??
Some days it’s gets really easy to think “what’s the point” especially when my feed is full of oversupplies flaunting their full bottles, huge freezer stashes and “foolproof” ways to increase supply. But I know that every bit counts and am thankful I get to give them any bit I can so I’ll keep pumping my self up (pun intended) for as long as I can.

ONI used to be an undersupplier.
With my first baby, I didn’t know what I was doing. I googled a lot, I stressed a lot, and honestly didn’t know which way was up when it came to my breast pump.
My next journey?
I had the right information…and knew the right way to use my pump, had the right flange size, and the right schedule.
And guess what? My supply increased dramatically and from an undersupplier, started building my stash and became an oversupplier. It’s crazy the difference having the information and support makes for your journey.
