It can be easy to become distracted and influenced by the voices of media, family, government, religion and culture whilst losing trust in our own inner voice and unique expression.
Identifying and living in accordance to our core values can help us to reconnect to our own individual magic and dharma.
Some prompts I like for getting a sense of your core values-
✅ Who do you admire in life and why?
✅ What would you like to hear others say about you when you’re not around?
✅ Who were you in the moments you were at your best in life?
Once you’ve come up with some answers, highlight the words that feel the most important for you.
You might then consider daily action steps that would support developing and practicing these values….
For example if I have a value on health, a daily practice could be drinking 2 liters of water daily.
If I have value on family it could be a daily commitment to spending 60 minutes of quality time with family daily.
You’d be amazed at how your confidence soars as you intentionally act on your core values daily for a consistent period of time.

SHAre you the type of person who can’t help but seek validation from others?
Do you find yourself putting off important tasks because you’re afraid of the potential for criticism or judgement?
Whether it’s writing a presentation for work, posting on LinkedIn, or even just putting yourself out there in general, the fear of social rejection can be incredibly powerful and can hold you back from reaching your true potential.
We know that when we don’t receive the approval we seek, we can experience it as a form of social rejection, and rejection activates the same areas of the brain as when you experience physical pain - it hurts!! (Eisenberger, Lieberman, Williams, 2003)
But here’s the thing – your value as a person is not defined by what others think of you.
You, my friend, are valuable and important, regardless of what anyone else may say or think.
So, don’t let fear hold you back any longer. I want you to remind yourself of your inherent worth and go after what you truly want in life.
Don’t let the fear of rejection prevent you from achieving your goals and living your best life.
PS – If you want to break free from your need for validation, here’s a tip: start serving others. It’s one of the most effective ways to silence that ego and regain a sense of worth and dignity. Plus, it creates a chain reaction of positivity.

Dr. John Gottman nailed it: “You can’t even begin to fix things until someone feels understood.” This means that before we dive into solutions or defend ourselves, we must first let our loved ones know their feelings are valid and respected.
Stop resisting validation! It’s not about picking sides—it’s about building connection. When we resist acknowledging each other’s feelings, we risk pushing our partners further away.
You can acknowledge their feelings while sharing your perspective, too! It’s all about balance. Be clear that it wasn’t your intention to hurt them, and share what was really going on for you at that moment.
