For Context 👇 📍Ella, Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 I was a little angry when filming this as I had just got off the train but I still stand by what I said - I am very aware I am also a tourist, I’m not saying don’t visit but I’m saying be respectful of other people when you do so. I don’t need to introduce the Kandy to Ella train in Sri Lanka you’ve probably see it on your feed countless times. I was using it to travel to a small town to film a unique adventure but what I saw honestly shocked me about the reality when tourism goes too far. I have no problem with people hanging outside the doors taking photos - it’s a personal risk up to the individual to take, I do risky things all the time… but what I don’t agree with is pushing that risk on to other people, forcing others out the way just so you can get a nice few pixels on a screen. Also consider the local people who are just trying to commute, they don’t need 3 different camera in their face like they are an exhibit. I’m not saying don’t ride the train, the views are beautiful but I am saying be a respectful tourist & have compassion for others around you.
