✨Decoding VIT Series - part 5 ✨
🧾VITEEE (VIT Engineering Entrance Examination) is the entrance exam for B.Tech admissions at VIT. It’s conducted online as a Computer Based Test usually between late April and early May. Applications generally open around October/November and close by March end every year.
The exam duration is 2 hours 30 minutes and it has 125 MCQ questions for a total of 500 marks. For every correct answer you get +4 marks and for every wrong answer −1 mark (yes, there is negative marking from the academic year 2026).

🧾Question split-up usually goes like this:
• Mathematics / Biology – 40 questions
• Physics – 35 questions
• Chemistry – 35 questions
• Aptitude – 10 questions
• English – 5 questions

🧾The syllabus is mostly based on Class 11 and 12 portions. Physics covers mechanics, electricity, magnetism, optics, modern physics etc. Chemistry includes physical, organic and inorganic chemistry topics. Mathematics has algebra, calculus, coordinate geometry, trigonometry and more.
If you choose Biology instead of Math, it includes genetics, physiology, ecology etc.Aptitude and English test basic logical reasoning and language skills.

🧾To apply for B.Tech through VITEEE, you must have completed 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology with the required minimum aggregate percentage as per VIT guidelines.

🧾Now coming to Integrated M.Tech 👇
This is a 5-year dual degree program (B.Tech + M.Tech together). The best part? No separate entrance exam. Admission is mainly based on your 12th PCM marks and overall merit. Shortlisted students go through counseling and seat allotment just like regular admissions.
Both B.Tech (through VITEEE) and Integrated M.Tech applications are done through the official VIT admissions portal, and dates are announced every year.
