They’re not all loud junk either. Most of the hate comes from people straight piping them without a tune or resonators. Done right, they actually sound good. Nissan made two factory turbo VQs. The VQ30DET came in RWD sedans like the Gloria and Cedric. The VQ25DET came in the AWD Stagea wagon. Both are rare but real.
