Why? * View-through conversions * Platform-reported ROAS * Blended dashboards with no segmentation Google will overattribute. Meta will overattribute. Every platform marks its own homework. Even tools like Triple Whale only improve visibility. They don’t solve incrementality. Attribution will never be perfect. So stop chasing perfect. Start chasing congruency. Here’s the test: 1. Compare platform revenue vs 2. Your P&L revenue If ad platforms say $1m but your P&L says $700k… You don’t have a scaling problem. You have a measurement problem. Next, check segmentation: * Are customers excluded from prospecting? * Are branded and non-branded split? * Are you separating new vs returning revenue? If not, your “performance” is inflated. The goal isn’t higher ROAS. It’s alignment with contribution margin. Here’s a better standard: > Does incremental spend increase profit? Not: > Does Ads Manager show a 4x? Clean attribution. Match it to cash. Then make decisions. Otherwise you’re scaling confidence. Not profit.
