Happy new week of chasing the gains 🏋🏽‍♂️ my weekly workout split as of January has been 4 workouts per week splitting between upper and lower body days hitting each muscle group twice a week 🙏🏻 I’ve also found post partum that breastfeeding a whole human takes the majority of my calories so in order to gain some muscle back we have upped the calorie intake 🙏🏻 Train with me @naturallystefanieapp ; I’m following my 8 week reset guide

My weekly workout splits for over a year 💪 I structure every split day with this 40 min workout: - 5 min walk/warmup - 5 min dynamic warmup for whatever muscle group I’m working - 20 min workout: 4 exercises that I do 8-10 reps of 3x through! - 10 min stretch or walk Thursday - depending on what I need MONDAY - Legs and core I like to have one heavy more isolated movement leg day and one more complex stability single leg day (fast forward to Friday!) think heavy RDLs, squats, leg press. Nothing complex or complicated just heavy quality movements! For core I’ve been doing hanging leg raise variation and woa it’s the only time I’ve seen almost immediate results TUESDAY - Upper body Usually stick to a push or pull day and do the opposite on Thursday! Get every muscle group! Shoulders, biceps, back, tricep WEDNESDAY midweek active recovery. I love a love outdoor walk these days, a mobility class, yoga or Pilates. LITTLE weights. THURSDAY Second upper body day, do the opposite of what I did on Tuesday (push or pull movements) but hit the same muscle groups! FRIDAY LEGS single leg like all kinds of lunges, strapped leg lifts etc. abs, mat or hanging raises again! WEEKEND talk off completely or pick one day to do a light but full body workout, still just 4 exercises to 4 different areas of the body Highlights of this workout I love having a leg day going into the weekend and finishing a weekend because you can go heavy knowing you have some recovery behind/ahead of you Midweek recovery is sooo nice because you have a lil break in sight without having to work hard more than 2 consecutive days without a break! NUTRITION is everything. Timing of day matters for how you fuel yourself before / after a workout. I workout first thing in the morning so I make sure to have a micro and macro heavy breakfast to fuel, recover and satiate 🫶🌱
