March 6th 2025 was one of the best days of my life. Meeting, falling in love and marrying my best friend twice is up there. But after 2 years of infertility and two rounds of IVF with two failed transfers finally seeing a positive pregnancy test was a few years of build up. I’ve shared the video of me officially finding out numerous times because it’s one of the happiest moments of my life but I haven’t shared this clip very much. What I haven’t shared was me quickly rushing to CVS to buy more tests as we tested early and I wasn’t prepared. I also haven’t shared that in the two years of us trying to get pregnant our local CVS must have moved the pregnancy tests to a different area only a few weeks earlier and me running all over cvs trying to find where they moved them. I quickly rushed home and took more tests as I needed to see as many positives to fully believe this was happening to us. For some reason seeing that digital test say “Pregnant” just makes it so much more official. Here is the part you don’t see, what followed after march 6th. I allowed myself to feel so much joy and excitement and we started telling family immediately. But quickly after my infertility brain creeped back. It took me 2 years of actively trying to see a positive and in those two years I had suffered a chemical before having the chance to get excited. I didn’t know if I could keep a pregnancy, so I started telling myself everything that was going to go wrong. While most people that get pregnant easily experience joy it gets to stay joyful. But if you’ve suffered from infertility or any pregnancy loss that hangs over your joy. I try and share the happy moments as that helps me, but I’d be lying if I didn’t speak up about how terrified I was my entire pregnancy even when I hit milestone. That all being said every milestone did help the anxiety dissipate each time. But pregnancy after infertility and loss is anything but easy and joyful. It wasn’t until I heard that first cry I was fully able to experience overjoyed excitement for myself. If you’re still in your infertility and IVF journey I feel you and as always I’m here for you every step of the way.

And the secret is…. Little adventurer is on the way 🤍 We’ve been keeping this to ourselves for a long time. Not because we didn’t want to share, but because we didn’t know how. We were once the couple quietly struggling, and I remember how hard it was for me to see pregnancy announcements everywhere while we were still unsuccessfully trying. 2025 was an emotional rollercoaster - one we never shared on IG. After a long time of trying, fertility clinic, tests, and being told our best chance was IVF - something what is so expensive in Canada, we even talked about giving up and moving back to the Czech Republic where IVF is much affordable. Instead, we gave ourselves a deadline. Five more months with Letrozole pills. And then…it happened 🙏. I didn’t even take a test until week 7 because I was so scared of another disappointment which hurtled badly every time. But this time, it was real. 🥹 If you’re in the waiting phase right now, we feel you but don’t give up. Miracles sometimes come very quietly ❤️✨

As today officially marks being one month away from my due date, I wanted to share one of the most special moments of Clark and my lives: the moment we found out that after years of infertility, I was pregnant! I will cherish this moment for many reasons, with the most obvious being that we finally had the hope of a viable pregnancy. The second most special reason was that we got to find out right alongside of my parents, who went through years of infertility, too. There are no words to express all of the emotions we have felt throughout pregnancy. We are so overjoyed and grateful for the miracle of life and the amazing advancements in medicine that made this moment possible. Thank you all so much for your shared joy for us as we anticipate becoming a family of three. 💙 P.S. - For those curious what we were reading on my phone - we were reading my HCG level test results (the same hormone that an at-home pregnancy test measures) based on a blood draw I did that morning. That morning was exactly 10 days after our frozen embryo transfer, and if your HCG level is at or above a certain number, you are pregnant. The 2-hour wait between my blood draw and my results felt like an eternity! @my_sondering Please DM for Removal #ivf #pregnancyannouncement

A little update after our Vitalab appointment this morning. Our fertility specialist believes the previous positive may have been another ectopic that resolved on its own. My uterus and lining both look healthy, which suggests implantation itself may not be the issue. Instead, it’s possible that the embryo isn’t actually reaching the uterus. Our last cycle was negative, which was really difficult to process, especially because we felt like we had done everything “right” this time. It’s hard not to feel like another month has quietly slipped by. Today we ran more blood tests to look at egg reserve, inflammation markers, clotting factors, thyroid function and a few other things. During the internal scan my follicles looked good, but there is some minor scar tissue and my remaining tube doesn’t seem to have as much mobility as expected. That raises some concern that the one tube I have left could potentially be blocked or partially affected. The next step is an HSG next week, where dye is run through the tube so they can see exactly what’s happening. Best case scenario, the tube may just need to be flushed and we can try again naturally. If there is scar tissue, surgery may be able to help. If the tube is blocked or too damaged, IVF may become our only option. So for now… more waiting for answers. The next week or so will probably be emotionally tough while we figure out what the next chapter of this journey looks like, but we’re trying to stay hopeful and take it one step at a time. I wish I had recorded my reaction taking the test but honestly I only took it to prove my friend @katieperkes wrong after I casually mentioned my period was late and she wouldn’t stop (nicely) bugging me 😂. With PCOS that’s not unusual for me, so pregnancy was the last thing on my mind. But here we are 3 years later… and our family wouldn’t be the same without our caboose Deano. 💙 Sometimes miracles show up when you’ve stopped expecting them. If you’ve walked through infertility you know how surreal this moment feels. Infertility mamas… I see you. 🤍🫶🏼
