THStalactite and Kruk. Father and son.💙
Their relationship was never truly strong. Stalactite always paid more attention to his second son, Thorn — the future leader of the Midnight Pack. Among the Midnight Wolves, power is passed down by blood, almost like a monarchy, and Thorn knew from an early age what role awaited him.
He was like his father: hot-tempered, proud, harsh, and lacking empathy. He knew his worth and never doubted his right to rule.
Kruk was different. Calm, fair, and kind. Power and everything connected to it did not interest him — he wanted only a simple wolf’s life, free from intrigue and struggle.
From time to time, rare conversations still occurred between Stalactite and Kruk. Short and restrained, yet they meant a great deal to Kruk.
In time, everything changed. Stalactite and Thorn began to treat him with irritation and contempt. The pack started to whisper more and more often: perhaps Kruk was the one truly worthy of becoming the next leader. Those words became dangerous.
