💔 A Love Story… in the Grimdark? Turns out, this Wraithlord is kinda about that. Before becoming a winged engine of death, Amranel was—unlike most Craftworlders—joyful about the Path. To him, it wasn’t a cage, but a forest: a place where each road had to be walked fully, before branching off into another. Renewal, not restriction. At the end of each Path, he would climb the highest peak of the Craftworld, beneath the painted sky, to meditate in silence. One day, he wasn’t alone. A Swooping Hawk in training landed nearby, and his heart was gone in an instant. He chose his next Path—the Warrior’s Path of the Hawk—just to fly with her. But joy never lasts long for the Eldar. His beloved slowly disappeared into the Exarch’s dead end, her soul fused into the armour. Untouchable. Irrevocably lost. Still, Amranel flew under her command, loving her even in silence. The end came on the battlefield. A human aircraft, laden with rad bombs, broke through the blockade and sped toward a Webway gate. Amranel ignored the retreat order. He pushed higher, detonating his grenades against the bomber’s hull. A sun of fire bloomed. He was gone. His Exarch caught his spiritstone mid-flight. Inside, she found not grief, not farewell—only a smile, and a plea: “Give me a body, so I may keep annoying you a little longer.” And so the Bonesingers obeyed.
