🧠 Why This Matters to Me
If you know the history of my channel, you know why this fragrance hits different. This was once my signature scent, passed down to me by my father. I went through an entire bottle and the compliments were unreal.
🍮 The Scent Profile
Almond, vanilla, and tonka at the core with a touch of orange brightness. Sweet, warm, and comforting without being heavy.
⏳ Still Relevant
Released in 1998 and somehow still does not smell outdated. If anything, it was ahead of its time and predicted where gourmand fragrances were heading.
💭 Final Thoughts
Yes, nostalgia plays a role here, but even without it, Givenchy Pi is still a fantastic fragrance that deserves respect. And honestly… my dad had great taste.

8TYou all know I love my vintage fragrances and this is 🔥
It’s definitely an older scent- you cannot have 1980s fragrances expectations for this one. It has similar DNA to Calandre, jontue for a second and probably Rive Gauche (although I didn’t compare them.) Rive Guache was already high on my list and I own a newer, but still vintage, bottle of Calandre but this is like a whole new type of that fragrance. It’s so smooth on my skin. It’s everything I’d want from a fragrance like this. If you haven’t tried vintage fragrances yet then this is so out of this world. Nothing like this exists today. I feel like this could even be unisex. It makes me feel like fun times outside in spring or summer. Vacations and friends. I actually love it a lot 😅
It’s really cool to compare this to fragrances in the 80s because you can see how fragrance evolved and got more crazier by the end of the 80s to the point gourmand was invented in the early 90s. I’d love to get the pure perfume of this or the cologne intense!

I love L’effleur in my videos because people expect fragrances made in the 1980s and it’s from 1907 but people who lived the 80s and early 90s remember it being super popular but not in the 70s and before. I don’t know for sure but it appears it have been released again in the 80s and made popular??! It’s one of my outliers in my collection because its popularity and creation date are so far apart. I had it for months but ignored it until someone asked me if I had it and then she was like “omgg I loved that in the 90s” and I showed my mom it and she remembered it too and then I talked about it and people actually knew it!!?? It came in the box I got last year of late 80s early 90s fragrances (I made a video on that 👀.)
Each one of these fragrances are great ones that just make you feel good! Some of these are discontinued so it may be harder to find 😅 (looking at you Babe, Samsara and Colors)
Why are there no men’s fragrance?! Guys we had like 10 popular choices to wear and the rest niche ones so just buy polo, Drakkar or Obsession and you’ll be fine but I promise I’ll try to get more soon 🤣🤣

Um. WOW. Everything about this fragrance hit right. 10/10.
This is definitely in my top 1980s fragrances if I had to pick.
This vintage EDT is no joke. It’s strong!! But it smells so good!! It’s sooo spicy and woody. It’s literal spices, that coriander and cardamom. It’s soo spicy but the florals - that rose cut though it like I’ve never smelled before. I have never smelled anything quite this unique and complex before. It smelled like Animale when I sprayed it but only one note, Fendi and Animale are like 0.01% related.
The way this settles onto my skin is insane. It reminds me of Christmas honestly. The spices bring me back to my childhood Christmas times - I can’t quite pin what it is but it adds to the power of this fragrance. It’s almost fruity!!
I said insane or freaking like 100 times during this video 😭 it’s true! It lived up to its hype and I don’t think I can fully describe how complex this fragrance is In 3 minutes. This fragrance is one you have to experience to understand.

8TFINALLYYYY A VINTAGE BOTTLE!!
So 100% yes it gets better the longer you wear it!! The musk is surprisingly so strong in it! It also is sweet!! That rose starts to cut though after drydown!
It’s been over 5 hours since I’ve recorded and it’s still strong on me! It’s woody, floral and sweet on my arm right now! This is also the first time I’ve felt a power fragrance from the 80s actually make me feel powerful 🤣 like I was ready to take on the world with this unstoppable fragrance! It’s a really great smell and try dry down now reminds me of their body spray they make today! Why is it in every fragrance from the 80s made today, lack the strong amber smell??! Probably an ingredient that’s been heavily regulated 😩 lots of tuberose too. It’s a beautiful blend and a great fragrance! You can get a vintage bottle on eBay for under 40 dollars from time and time again. A lot of sellers are also selling new bottles as vintage so do your research!! As for it being super strong, maybe because it’s cold and I didn’t wear it on hot weather- it wasn’t intoxicating. I 100% smelt it on me right after recording and walking around. It was strong then but now it’s super soft!!

FLThere are decades that pass, and then there are decades that shape you. For me, that was New York in the 90s, living from the Upper East Side to SoHo, working for Giorgio Armani and Emporio Armani during the biggest simultaneous opening Madison Avenue had ever seen. The parties on the top floor of Emporio Armani felt more like a nightclub than a boutique. Everyone wanted in, and life was one magnificent, unrelenting party. Every single night. GenX ran that city with an energy that was entirely its own, and our phones were not smarter than us. We knew how to live fully and I was lucky enough to be right in the middle of it.
Fragrance in the 90s was its own revolution. The overpowering, dense perfumes of the 80s were gone and in their place came something entirely different. Back then, you had a signature scent. It was yours, it was personal, and it said everything without saying a word. Mine were Annick Goutal’s Eau de Ciel and Eau de Camille. Subtle, sensual and airy, scents became unisex and the notes that defined the decade were floral, tea and citrus. There was a lightness to it, an effortlessness that perfectly mirrored the culture. That decade is long gone, and so are those beloved bottles. But when I set out to create Fleurs de Déesse for Fleurit Parfums, I wanted to build something that took me right back. Bright mandarin, linden blossom in full bloom and a soft settled musk. We will never get those days back, but Fleurs de Déesse takes me right there every single time. Some things you never stop loving. Every fragrance at Fleurit Parfums is built on that same philosophy. Never overpowering, always yours.
