Children were amazed as they recognised the Gladiator Steel, in the hall, waiting to deliver an assembly. Steel, also known as Zack visits schools as part of his Zactive - Anything is Possible programme of workshops. Zack spoke to the children about being ambitious, challenging themselves, being resilient if things do not go to plan and helping themselves by having healthy bodies and minds. Several of the adults were relieved to hear Zack say that we do not need to be good and healthy all the time - leave 15% for pizza and eat well 85% of the time. We learned about the signs of dehydration and the importance of drinking water and every child left with a water bottle. Steel then joined every class in a sponsored circuits session. This memorable day was organised by the brilliant Friends many of whom were in school to support the children (they claim!).
