PERSECUCIÓN by Uruguayan new wave band “ZERO” formed in Montevideo in 1984 and named after the Mitsubishi A6M Zero aircraft. They started as a power pop band and evolved into a synthesizer-driven post punk unit which coincided with the collapse of the Uruguayan dictatorship that emerged after the 1973 Coup d’état, an event that was part of the larger Operation Condor plan. From wearing makeup on stage to their use of synthesizers which spearheaded the electronic music scene in Uruguay, Zero stood out as one of the most interesting bands of their time, in what was already an extremely small, localized music scene in a country with about three million people at the time. 🇺🇾 “The black rocks don’t stop falling. our new single Zero Hour is out now! 😎🙏🏼 listen anywhere you like to stream OR preferably check out the music vid! links to everything are at the top in our bio! 🫶🏼 there are so many people to thank that were a part of this creation is some way or another. one look at the credits at the end of the vid is a testament to that! first off, huge thanks to everyone involved with writing and/or performing on the song: @infinlife @jonrigatti @getst0ked @antondefade @pittsburghdrummer and Joel Grimes. this song wouldn’t be possible without the maestro himself @davehidek and his impeccable ears. dave has a knack for always bringing out the best in the band in service of capturing the vision. to say i love working with him is an understatement. we also made a music vid for this one! actually, i’m gonna call this one a film since that’s what it evolved into. i’ve been so lucky to work with many amazing people throughout the film scene in PGH over multiple music video productions and this time around was no different. working with the writer, director, and producer of the film @maxwellcianci was a blessing. the film is truly his creation. he took a very loose idea and ran with it. both he and @r__dilullo killed it on this. special thanks @thevandalpgh @spiritpgh and @dadspgh for your hospitality and all around general awesomeness throughout production! finally, thanks to everyone involved with making the film from the cast to the crew. it was rad AF seeing so many people turn out as extras or to be involved in some capacity! they say it takes a village and sometimes it truly does! ❤️

From Zero fue una banda formada en 1998 en Chicago, Illinois. En 1999, la banda lanzó un EP homónimo de manera independiente, conocido también como “The Green Album”. Tras ganar popularidad local, el grupo firmó con el sello Arista Records, con el cual publicaron su álbum debut, “One Nation Under”, en 2001. El álbum tuvo un single llamado “Check Ya”, que alcanzó el puesto 37 en la lista Mainstream Rock de Billboard. Durante este periodo, la banda realizó giras con agrupaciones como Deftones, Nickelback y Disturbed. En 2003, la banda lanzó su segundo trabajo de estudio, “My So-Called Life”, un álbum que sufrió una escasa promoción debido a cambios internos en su discográfica.
