HUWe’re thrilled to share Huge Design’s latest collaboration with Zero Motorcycles: the LS1, the company’s first ever scooter, unveiled this week at EICMA in Milan. Building on our previous motorcycle partnerships, the LS1 represents the next step in our shared pursuit of redefining electric mobility. The design fuses Zero’s bold vision for electric performance with our studio’s perspective on the future of smart, efficient transportation. The result is a disciplined, product-driven design language that balances traditional vehicle proportion with a strikingly modern form, clean, purposeful, and punctuated by a dynamic silhouette and intuitive UX touchpoints.
What excited us most was the opportunity to help shape a new archetype for mobility: the electric scooter. Our team embraced the challenge of translating Zero’s unmistakable DNA into a compact urban form factor, compressing purpose, performance, and presence into a vehicle designed to spark joy in the city.
We focused on crafting proportions that feel confident and balanced, with surfaces that appear effortless yet refined. The LS1 carries forward Zero’s legacy while exploring a fresh and expressive direction. From early concept sketches to the development of a cohesive design vision, our goal was to make every detail feel intentional and emotionally resonant. The LS1 is not just a new product; it’s a design expression of urban freedom, where form truly follows delight.
This project reaffirmed something central to our philosophy at Huge Design: design is not simply styling. It’s about creating a holistic experience, from the moment someone approaches the scooter to the way it feels to interact with and the stance it takes within the city landscape. Every line, junction, and surface contributes to a unified sense of purpose and motion.
