NO🤖 대당 '1천만원' 휴머노이드, 진짜 물류창고에 투입됐다
🔎 MIT 출신 스타트업이 만든 바퀴형 휴머노이드 로봇이 미국 대형 물류센터에서 실제 작업에 투입되면서, Tesla·Figure AI보다 먼저 현장 배치에 성공했다.
📍 뉴욕 브루클린 소재 스타트업 Reflex Robotics가 개발한 휴머노이드 로봇 'Reflex'가 미국 켄터키주 루이빌(Louisville)의 글로벌 3PL 업체 Arvato Logistics 물류센터에서 박스 하역·팔레타이징 작업을 수행 중이다. 2026년 2월 13일 Reflex Robotics 공식 X 계정을 통해 공개됐다.
📍 이 로봇은 이족보행 대신 바퀴 베이스를 채택했다. 다리를 없앤 덕분에 BOM(부품 원가)을 2~3배 절감했고, 무거운 배터리를 하부에 탑재해 16시간 이상 연속 가동이 가능하다. 대당 하드웨어 가격 목표는 약 1만달러(약 1,400만원)로, 경쟁 휴머노이드 대비 20배 저렴하다는 게 회사 측 주장이다.
📍 핵심 전략은 'Human-in-the-Loop(사람 개입형)' 원격조종이다. AI 자율주행이 기본이되, 복잡한 상황에서는 원격 조종자가 실시간 개입한다. 2026년 2월 9일에는 멕시코 누에보레온(Nuevo León)에 중남미 최초 휴머노이드 로봇 공장 설립을 발표했고, 2,000개 이상 일자리 창출과 부품 100% 현지 생산이 목표다.
📍 2022년 설립된 Reflex Robotics는 MIT 출신 창업자(CEO Ritesh Ragavender)를 중심으로 Boston Dynamics·Tesla·Amazon 출신 인력이 합류했다. 2024년 3월 Khosla Ventures가 리드한 시드 라운드에서 700만달러를 유치했고, Dropbox·Cruise 공동창업자도 투자에 참여했다. GXO Logistics 파일럿, Locus Robotics AMR 협업 등 실전 레퍼런스를 빠르게 쌓고 있다.
