KEWhen I started making characters in blender, I tried using box modelling.
It was a nightmare to say the least! and I quit learning blender twice because of box modelling 😅
In my opinion box modelling can only be done properly when you have great understanding of the forms and shapes of what you're modelling.
And the one thing that gave me that understanding of 3D characters was sculpting, yeh organic sculpting in blender!
So if you asked me, I'll choose sculpting over box modelling for anyone who is just starting out with making 3D characters.
I know sculpting can look a bit intimidating too, but that's because you haven't approached learning it the correct way.
That's why I made a 4 hour in depth free course about sculpting in blender for beginners.
So far a lot of students have sent me DMs on how the course has given them the skill to sculpt their first character in blender!!
So, I think you should really give sculpting a try, don't be shy! Go to the link in my bio to get started!
