Meet An Chéad Ghlúin Eile (ACGE) An Chéad Ghlúin Eile translates to “The Next Generation.” This sister duo, Étáin and Máire Ní Churraoin, are native Irish speakers from the Ráth Chairn Gaeltacht in County Meath. They are the grand-nieces of the legendary sean-nós singer Darach Ó Catháin, carrying forward a deep family legacy. By blending traditional unaccompanied singing with a modern sensibility, they prove that the Irish language is a vibrant, living force for a new era. A massive thank you to the team at The Fleet Hotel for welcoming us into their stunning 1920s-style lobby. This beautifully preserved boutique space provided the perfect sophisticated backdrop for this Global Sound Concerts session.
