Four-year-old Ava-Rose shows us her very own superpower — a continuous glucose monitor.
The ‘artificial pancreas’, or hybrid closed loop technology helps her manage her type 1 diabetes by continually monitors the blood glucose levels, and then automatically adjusts the amount of insulin they are given.
The artificial pancreas will help thousands more people with type 1 diabetes thanks to a cost-effective deal secured by the NHS in England.
Ava-Rose’s mum, Lisa said that thanks to the ground-breaking device, ‘she is able to just be a four-year-old, we don’t have to think about injections or what she’s eating.’

CEChampagne Bronze is a faucet finish that has been growing in popularity. It is a very versatile color that can be used with warm and cool tones and can pass in a traditional or contemporary space.
On this display, we featured the @deltafaucet Stryke in Champagne Bronze. We wanted to make that pop so we utilized an Urbane Bronze paint color by @sherwinwilliams . The vanity top is a design called Ironsbridge, by @cambriasurfaces Quartz, which has a blend of whites, grays, cream, and honey. The @bertch_cabinets featured is made of alder wood, has a River Rock stain, and their Harper door style (peep their concealed drawer making organization easier!). Lastly, we chose to display @electricmirror LED Eternity mirror with Ava technology. This dimming feature allows the light to change tones which is ideal for precise makeup application.
