AMOn 28th June this year, thousands upon thousands of people came together to defy Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orbán passing legislation to ban Pride and other protests supporting equal rights of LGBTI people.
Demonstrators - including over 280 Amnesty International activists and staff from Hungary and 22 other countries - came together to peacefully demand equality, freedom of assembly and human rights.
It was the largest march in Budapest Pride’s history.
This is how we respond to people who try to deny our rights.
