CAAging in place isn’t always pretty but it is practical.
Sometimes it looks like a stationary bike parked in the living room because walking to the basement hurts too much. Or dishes and a microwave living on the kitchen counter because lifting your arms brings real pain.
It may not match anyone’s idea of “how a house should look.” Family members may cringe. But aging in place is about access, dignity, and independence, not aesthetics.
Flexibility matters.
So does a good attitude.
When we choose compassion over control, we make room for our loved ones to keep living fully right where they are.
Homes can adapt.
People deserve to stay.
