The Alienware Area-51 m7700 came from a time when manufacturers tried to include every connection you might ever need. Ethernet, VGA, multiple USB ports, audio jacks, and more were built directly into the machine, meaning you could plug almost anything in without adapters.
Modern laptops chase thin designs, which often removes ports and forces users to carry dongles. Ironically, older machines like this massive gaming laptop from solved that problem years ago by simply putting everything on the device.
