Yes, why did you choose Anesthesia?
And if somebody asks me, I would definitely say that I love adrenaline rush, love the risky tasks. I love doing the procedures, but also I love being bored in an OT with the patient sleeping quietly , comfortably, with no haemodynamic derangements, and the surgery is going smoothly, and all I can do is either study or read a book or just do anything else except that.
So yeah Anesthesia is such department where you go directly from being bored to being in an rush ,from being bored to being the most busiest and most important person in the OT, and that’s something you have to get used to, and get experienced with, and if you’re someone who doesn’t like either of that, I think Anesthesia is not for you.
