This is for everyone in Toronto’s artist project @artistprojectto This is a once in a year show! With thousands of eyes on your work! Somethings are not gonna sell, but that’s not the point this show has the potential to lead to future endeavours as well as friendships! I literally still talk to every artist that I met there as well as the emerging artist that were next to me. You’re heading into a place where everyone has the same goal as you you do not need to prove yourself. You do not need to compete with these people. We are all there for the same reason. With that being said, be a champion for yourself put yourself out there and connect with your audience ! It’s a long and gruelling four days. But when it’s done, I promise you you will be more driven than you’ve been before to get out there and make this your career You can do this, and I’ll see you on Friday #artistprojectto #artistproject2025 #artistproject

We’ve been all over the place the past 6 months and realized we haven’t even shared the NEWS!!! We’re having child number 2!! About 7 years ago this song was the first song for my artist project that I ever wrote and released. It was before Tiff and I started seriously dating and long before Ro and Finn were made. However, these lyrics were correct, and in order. Manifestation is a real thing, and we are so excited to have a Boy on the way! It has been the most crazy busy and beautiful week getting these works ready to share with the world. I’ve been anticipating this moment for months and seeing it all finally become a reality feels surreal. Thank you to everyone who has stopped by for the first two days of the show. Some pieces have already gone home to new and returning collectors. I am so grateful for all of the love and support for these new works. My new collection The In Between will be on display at the show until May 11th at the Better Living Centre. If you’re in Toronto, come say hi — I will be at booth # 914 all weekend long. Dear friends, Artist Project 2026 has just come to a close this past Sunday. The excitement and joy in my heart has easily washed away all the fatigue. I would like to sincerely thank the incredible team at Artist Project for their outstanding work, creating such a wonderful visual celebration for the audience and providing strong support for the participating artists. @artistprojectto This year’s fair was especially meaningful to me. My work received such warm responses, and the number of pieces collected reached a new record for me. I’m deeply grateful to longtime friends for your continued encouragement, to new friends for your kind words, and to the collectors who welcomed my work into your homes. This weekend reminded me how special it is to share my work in person, have real conversations, and make new connections. I’m truly grateful. Thanks so much to everyone who came to the Artist Project in Toronto and stopped by to say hello. Now I’m going to tidy up the studio and enjoy a day to rest and recharge. In just a few weeks, I’ll be heading to France for the first retreat of the year, to teach and meet a wonderful group. We’ll be sharing art, plenty of laughs, and enjoying some beautifully relaxed days in Provence. The piece I share today is Gentle Breeze, an 8x8-inch piece in earthy colours. I used the Petals Trio template to make the embroidery holes, then added chain stitch and running stitch for a soft, flowing effect. I’ve shared the process in my exclusive area. The video is called Collage and Embroidery – Creating Dimensional Mixed Media. There’s a constant debate happening in my studio right now. Do I paint big and wild… or small and portable? I’m getting work ready for The Artist Project. A four-day art fair where independent artists exhibit their work directly to the public. No galleries in between. Just artists, collectors, and curious people wandering through hundreds of booths discovering art. For an event like this, smaller pieces make a lot of sense. They’re more accessible for people starting their collections, easier to carry through a crowded fair, and honestly… easier to get home on the subway. But every time I reach for a small panel, there’s a voice in my head saying: “Go bigger.” Because painting large is a completely different experience. Your whole arm gets involved. The brushstrokes breathe more. The gestures get bolder. It feels less like writing a sentence and more like shouting across the room. So the compromise in my studio right now looks like this: A stack of small works for the fair, and a growing urge to paint something huge just for the joy of it. Artists are nothing if not a bundle of contradictions. Small enough to carry. Big enough to feel something.
