The concept of working smarter rather than harder has been around since at least the 1930s when industrial engineer Allen F. Morgenstern coined the phrase while studying how to increase production efficiency without increasing physical effort. In modern manufacturing, automated conveyor loading systems can process up to 20 bags per minute, work that would normally take a team of workers hours to complete manually. This factory worker in Turkey clearly took the concept to heart, rigging up his own system so he could supervise operations with a glass of Turkish tea in hand, arguably the most efficient worker on the planet.
