RE@blackdesignersofcanada (BDC) is proud to announce the launch of BDC Magazine February 24 2026, a luxury lifestyle publication that marks a major step in building a national economic consortium of Black Canadian creative talent.
George Sully’s Black Designers of Canada initiative is entering a powerful new chapter with the launch of BDC Magazine, expanding its mission through a highly curated editorial platform that celebrates top Canadian design and creativity. The publication serves as a bridge between industry, commerce, and the country’s most visionary designers. Each issue will highlight leading Black Canadian creators alongside corporate allies, cultural institutions, and brands committed to shaping the future of Canadian design and innovation.
“BDC Magazine is more than a publication. It is the next step in building a national circular economy around Black Canadian design,” said George Sully, Founder and Editor-in-Chief. “By bringing designers, retailers, advertisers, and cultural leaders into the same ecosystem, we are creating a platform that fuels opportunity, collaboration, and real commercial impact.”
The initiative has already attracted a strong network of influential partners and contributors, including CAFA, The Black Opportunity Fund, SIMONS, Porsche Experience Centre Toronto, Fashion Art Toronto, Lucentum, and Living Luxe Magazine, supported by a world-class printing powerhouse. Together, they champion a movement that connects Black talent with commercial opportunity, professional visibility, and long-term industry growth.
Published quarterly and distributed across select hotels, galleries, retailers, and creative institutions nationwide, BDC Magazine will serve as both a cultural document and a commercial platform. Each issue will present stories and visual narratives that elevate the voices, brands, and businesses shaping the future of Canadian design.
