VO"With nostalgia for the ’70s and ’80s reaching fever pitch as we see the return of all our favourite gadgets from Walkmans to wired headphones and Nokias to VHS tapes, Bangkok’s Talad Noi Warehouse has emerged as the city’s newest cultural hotspot. Steeped in history, the warehouse became the perfect backdrop as Casio transformed the space into a vibrant flea-market-meets-creative-playground that takes its guests through the greatest of fashion eras for the launch of Casio Vintage, a fresh initiative dedicated to reviving the brand’s greatest hits. Think: the analog icons (despite being created back then purely out of functionality) now reappearing on the wrists of a new generation of beatniks, die-heart collectors and retro-leaning cool kids.
The highlight for me? The Back to the Future x Casio collaboration (with Stranger Things up next in the roster). First introduced in 1985, this little wrist candy unlocked a wave of memories. I’ll admit—I was never tech-savvy enough to fully master the calculator function. But wearing it to school was already itself, a flex in style sans function," reports editor-in-chief @monkiepoo. #VogueSingapore #BackInTimeAheadInStyle #CASIO #CASIOVintage
