DRI’m so glad you’ve found something that’s helped you feel better—that’s always the goal. My concerns about pellets aren’t personal or moral—they’re based on science, safety, and the lack of oversight.
Pellets are not FDA-approved, often contain supraphysiologic hormone doses (especially testosterone), and have been associated with more side effects and complications. Many respected medical societies, including NAMS and the Endocrine Society, caution against their use because of these risks.
I absolutely believe in offering options, and I work with patients to tailor therapy based on symptoms, goals, and the best available evidence. That includes FDA-approved bioidentical options, both systemic and local, and often combination strategies that evolve over time.
This isn’t about one-size-fits-all—it’s about informed, ethical, and safe care.
