BITake an #AccessibleTrailTuesday trip to the Rowe Audubon Sanctuary in Gibbon, NE as they host a Birdability Indoor Crane Viewing Event with Birdability Captain Cassandra Dean. Thanks to the staff at the center, and especially Amanda Hefner and the incredible volunteers who made the event possible.
Video description: A shot of two Sandhill Cranes in a field morphs into a photo of thousands of them standing on a sandbar in the Platte River, with a few stragglers still landing, legs down and ready to roost. A screenshot of the description of an indoor crane viewing event with Birdability's logo appears and then a photo of lots of cranes in a field eating spent grains. There are then several very short video clips of Birdability Captain and staff at Rowe during the event, and a joyful selfie with Cassandra and Birdability ED, Cat, the narrator of the video. The accessible walkways and viewing platforms, along with lots of video of sunset and the Sandhill Cranes coming to the river to roost - including with thousands of them swirling in the sky - play, and there is a short clip of the spectacle from inside with bird-friendly markers on the glass, and folks taking video of the pink sunset and the cranes. The last photos are of the parking lot at Rowe Sanctuary, lit with red lights instead of white.
