It forms during the first 2-8 weeks of gestation and can thicken/darken/change over the course of my life. 💜 I have had 10 laser surgeries to help keep my birthmark healthy and love it just the way that it is!! But I have since learned they are often methylation markers — signs the body can struggle to clear toxins efficiently. They can indicate slower detox pathways, meaning whatever goes into the body does not come out as easily as it should. And when a child with sluggish detox pathways is exposed to heavy metals, food chemicals or environmental toxins… Those toxins do not just disappear. They accumulate, layer by layer. Over time, that burden can show up as symptoms doctors often label as “mysterious” or unrelated: 🗣️ Speech delays 🧴 Eczema 🧠 Sensory challenges 🤢 Gut issues 🔄 Regression ⚠️ Sudden behaviour changes Parents are left confused, searching for answers… Meanwhile the clue was there on the skin from day one.
