Z.Minecraft Columbian Mammoth - at around 4 meters tall at the shoulders, it is probably the largest land mammal that lived during the last ice age, far bigger than its close relative woolly mammoth and Asian elephant. Unlikely woolly mammoths, columbian mammoths likely had very sparse fur, this is due to their range is much further south with a much hotter climate. At the La Brea tar pits in downtown Los Angeles, a handful of complete columbian mammoth skeletons have been discovered - they were likely trapped in the asphalt while passing through that area during warm day time while the asphalt is in liquid form.
