MYHere’s why these tests are essential and what they indicate:
1️⃣ Fasting blood sugar tells you how much sugar is in your blood after not eating for 8 to 10 hours. It’s helpful to catch early signs of diabetes or insulin resistance, even before symptoms start.
2️⃣ HbA1c gives an average of your blood sugar levels over the last 2 to 3 months. It’s more reliable than a single reading and helps check for prediabetes or diabetes, or how healthy sugar is being managed over time.
3️⃣ Vitamin D is essential for your bones, mood, immunity, and hormones. Many people have low levels, especially indoors or without sunlight. Low vitamin D can cause fatigue, low immunity, joint pain, and mood swings.
4️⃣ Triglycerides are fats in your blood. High triglycerides can silently increase your risk for heart disease, fatty liver, and other health issues.
5️⃣ LDL, often called bad cholesterol, can stick to artery walls and lead to blockages. If it stays high for too long, it increases your chances of a heart attack or stroke, even if you feel fine.
6️⃣ HDL, the good cholesterol, helps remove extra cholesterol from your body. Higher HDL means better heart protection. If it’s too low, it may raise your long-term heart risk.
7️⃣ TSH is the hormone that controls how fast or slow your body functions. If your thyroid is imbalanced, it can lead to weight gain or loss, hair loss, tiredness, mood swings, or period issues.
These tests help you understand your inner health. Getting them done once a year can prevent bigger health problems later. Prevention is always better than cure.
