Here are some tips to help: 1. Always have your food scale on the counter so you remember to use it when you’re first getting started 2. Weigh things out in grams. It’s the most accurate. 3. You can weigh things out raw or cooked but choose a method and make sure you use the right option in your calorie tracking app 4. Create custom meals for things you eat often so you don’t have to type it in every single time 5. Use the recipes feature so you have a more precise measurement of your meal. Because, calorie tracking isn’t “horrible for weight loss”, if anything, it’s literally the thing that calorie tracking is probably good for. BUT, I think the arguments in the video are very valid, so let’s put aside the clickbait title and talk about them anyway. Remember, everything has pros and cons. It’s ok to acknowledge that calorie tracking can benefit some people but simultaneously acknowledge that 1) it’s probably a terrible idea for some of you 2) it can go too far. P.S. How I stopped tracking calories/macros ⬇️ - I think first you need to realize that it isn’t sustainable and that the “comfort” it bring you to be “in control” isn’t real. Your life won’t be better because you know exactly how many calories you’re eating a day. Memories, experiences, the people you meet in life… those are all things that truly matter and being so strict and “in control of the calories” won’t allow you to have a full life ❤️ When I decided I wanted to stop I just took the right steps to take me to that direction because even though I know by memory the calories of some stuff I AM THE ONE THAT CHOOSES on a daily basis not to add in my head, not to look up online the calories of food, not to download the calorie tracking apps, not to wear an Apple Watch to track and obsess about steps, etc. STOP PLAYING THE VICTIM because you ARE the only in charge of that… nobody can do it for you! 🫶🏼 delete the calorie tracking apps 🫶🏼 start eating meals/food you’ve been scared to try 🫶🏼 let others cook for you 🫶🏼 buy food without nutritional labels and try new recipes 🫶🏼 get rid of food scales 🫶🏼 TRUST YOUR BODY Sending you all my love and remember that yes, YOU CAN :) #whatieatinaday #calorietracking #bodyimage #selflove #calories #weightloss #weightgain #mentalhealth #fitness #wieiad #fdoe #fulldayofeats
