Two of my most worn makes in this postpartum period 💃🏻 Sewing has been such a therapy for me in busy family life but I also want to make sure I am investing time into pieces that will get worn again and again through all seasons of life. It feels so good to be back at the machine, and I’ve loved the simplicity of working from patterns again. Both of these have been on my to do list for a while! The Celine Blouse by @silversagapatterns made up from 4 embroidered vintage tablecloths. I extended the ruffle on the bottom tier just to use up the some round tablecloth edging but ended up with lots of volume so added a waist tie as another wearing option. This is my favourite blouse in my wardrobe, so breezy and feminine. I really want to make this again in the button up style and extend it into a dress. The skirt is a very wearable toile of the Clo Bias Skirt by @soften_studio , sewn from a vintage sheet. Im going to size down on my next one and go with the midi length. This is the second skirt I currently own (im very much a dresses girl) but I am so keen to make more! I’ve started a new method of planning my projects. I have a long list of patterns I’ve bought/fabrics that have never been used! My goal is to work through my stash and the endless projects I’ve written in my notes on my phone. INSTEAD of constantly buying new and never using what I have 😭 I was really in a rut of no motivation at night but knowing that I have SIX projects all cut out and ready really gets me motivated to work on them because I don’t have to do my least favorite part first 😂 I cut out a few different levels of ease/bucket list items so I can just sew what’s inspiring me.
