CHSometimes getting the shot to line up means the drone almost hitting your head…
This was sort of beginning of drone technology and pilots getting more comfortable with proximity flying… @karimiliya was interning for me at the time, pushing the capabilities of flying then & continues to be one of the best pilots in the business.
weird to think back 10 years to 2014 exploring these knife-like ridges in New Zealand - chasing sunsets and trying to capture every shred of beauty with the time we were given. Back in those days, I felt like every trip was so valuable for building my archive & portfolio… and I didn’t want to let a second pass that could potentially be an opportunity to shoot an image that would one day print or license on a billboard. Life was a little more simple back then
