BLIt's one thing to use the #BlackLivesMatter name as a PR stunt to cover the fact that you were completely wrong about the brawl in Alabama... But to say our fathers abandoned us? To a #BlackLivesMatter organization, under a picture of you holding a #BlackLivesMatter sign just because we asked you not to use us as a pawn? That contradicting at the least 🥺 @marlonwayans a lot of people look up to you, and to use your platform to tear down our organization, and all the work we've done is very unexpected. There's a lot of work to be done out here, and tearing each other down and talking about parents abandoning us is not the way to go.
You went low, but we will go high. We will continue to put in the hard work. On this very day, August 12th, 2017... A neo-nazi drove his car through a black life matter protest here in Charlottesville Virginia, murdering Heather Heyer, and injuring many more. We went into that city knowing how dangerous it was. We've had to come face 2 face with the KKK, we've been flash banged and tear-gassed fighting for OUR people. We never thought our people would turn on us like you did... For a photo opp. We've been able to get 2 men out of prison, adopted a village in West Africa, fed thousands, gave toys to thousands, supported countless impacted families, and much without the help of celebrities. We will continue to do the work of the people, while you ridicule us. Prayers to you good brother 🙏🏾✊🏾
P.s. We could get a lot more accomplished TOGETHER, not divided.
