Every time he sees me, he greets me warmly with: “Panamá, Roberto Durán.” 🇵🇦♥️ I first saw him on TV as a child in my hometown during one of the biggest fights, and it’s incredible to now meet him in person at community events. Cortez is celebrated for an illustrious career spanning decades in professional boxing. He has officiated over 170 world title fights, including the iconic Sugar Ray Leonard vs. Roberto Durán “No Más” fight in 1980, and is renowned for his fair, precise, and respected judgment inside the ring. His contributions to boxing have made him a true icon in the sport.
