DRThe most common type of gallbladder stone is the Cholesterol stone. It makes up about 70–80% of all gallstones.💡
1. Cholesterol Stones🪨
• Composition: Mainly made of cholesterol (a fat-like substance).
• Color: Usually yellow or yellow-green.🟡🟢
• Cause: Form when the bile in the gallbladder contains too much cholesterol and not enough bile salts.
Common in:🤔
• People with obesity
• Those who eat high-fat diets🌯🍟
• Women (especially during pregnancy or with estrogen)🤰
• People with diabetes or rapid weight loss🍰
2. How They Form💡💭
1• Liver produces bile containing cholesterol.
2• If bile has excess cholesterol, it cannot dissolve completely.
3•Cholesterol crystallizes.
4•Crystals grow into stones inside the gallbladder.🪨
