MAIt’s astonishing how much Paige’s cancer aged her in the three years from her diagnosis in 2022 until her death on December 10th, 2025. I took many portrait photographs of her during these times — especially the hard times. I loved trying to capture the strength and resolve that I saw in EVERY version of her. It was often like she was aging in fast forward, from 32 to 85, while I was stuck here in my 30s, doomed to be left behind when she passed. Some days it felt like she was still so young, even younger than when this all started, having returned to simple pleasures and creature comforts. Other days it felt like she was 80 years old, in almost every way, including the way she viewed movement and nature and our time together. It’s been 10 days since her funeral and just over a month since she passed. Looking at these photos feels like stepping into a time warp. Love you Paige. Miss you. #cancer #caregiver #photography #portrait #grief
