I stopped by @tijonphoenix to create my own custom fragrance, and I am obsessed! 🤩 This course is 2 hours long and lets you choose from hundreds of scents to create your perfect one. We got to make 3 of them, but only get to select 1 to take home with us which they provided in a lovely custom labeled bottle! Classes here start at $80 and they even have take home perfume making kits. This is the perfect event for Girls night out, bachelorette parties or even a fun Mother’s Day treat! Come create a signature essential oil perfume with me. Gather your girlfriends this February for a perfume making night. Hobby lobby has the cutest glass perfume bottles for $3-7. Gather your essential oils, some snacks, an awesome playlist and enjoy a girls night in. Check out my perfume highlight for some tips and examples. Top notes stay in your olfactory system (your nose) for about 5-15 minutes. This is why you might experience nose/smell blindness after a period of time. Examples of top notes are— all your citrus oils, basil, eucalyptus, and sage. Middle notes sit in your olfactory system for 20-60 minutes. These are your floral oils like rose, jasmine, magnolia, neroli, geranium, chamomile, lavender, and rosemary. Base notes sit in your olfactory system for up to 6 hours. These are your deeper, richer essential oils like vanilla, vetiver, cedarwood, frankincense, myrrh, patchouli, and sandalwood. A good essential oil blend will include oils from all three categories whether it’s for a perfume or diffuser. This will allow the smells to blend and be carried for longer. To make your signature perfume try using - 12 drops from the top note oils - 20 drops from middle note oils - 8 drops from your base note oils After adding your essential oils, top the bottle with either witch hazel or vodka. Share with your girlfriends for your next night in!
