MYOne pot Chicken bhuna masala
Ingredients:
Chicken 1 kg
Onions chopped 6 medium size
Tomatoes chopped 3 medium size
Yogurt 1 cup ( mixed with chopped cilantro)
Green chillies crushed 6-7
Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
Chopped cilantro to garnish
Whole spices:
Black peppercorns 4-5
Green cardamom 3-4
Cinnamon 1/2 inch stick
Powdered spices:
Kashmiri red chilli powder 2 tbsp
Red chilli powder 1 tsp
Coriander powder 2 tbsp
Garam masala powder 1.5 tbsp
Kasuri methi crushed 1.5 tbsp
Salt to taste
Method:
In a pan add 3/4 cup oil and add crushed whole spices and green chillies,sauté for 10 secs and add onions. Sauté them on medium low flame or until they start to brown. Now add salt and sauté again. Once done add tomatoes, ginger garlic paste and powdered spices. Cover and cook on medium low flame for about 15 mins, stirring in between or until everything is cooked and mixed together and oil starts coming on the surface, at this point add chicken and sauté on high flame for a minute and then add whisked yogurt and garam masala. Cover and cook on low flame for 15 to 20 mins, keep checking In between. Once done add kasuri methi and chopped cilantro. Cover and then serve after 10 mins.
