QUPascal’s Principle states that when pressure is applied to a confined liquid, it spreads equally in all directions. In a simple demonstration often shown by Blaise Pascal, three connected glasses are used. Two glasses already contain the same liquid while one is empty. When liquid is poured through a pipe into one glass, it flows through the connecting tubes and the level becomes the same in all three glasses. SUFun fact: that wide-eyed little creature is a snail, and those “eyes” aren’t actually part of its face at all. Snails have their eyes at the tips of long stalks, which lets them see in different directions without moving their bodies much, kind of like built-in periscopes.
Even wilder, if a snail’s eye stalk gets damaged or bitten off by a predator, it can grow it back over time. That ability to regenerate, combined with how expressive those stalks look on camera, is why snails end up looking unintentionally unhinged in videos like this.

PUIn parts of Colombia, some towns are connected by an old cable system that locals use like a lifeline.
Two fixed ropes run in opposite directions, and people use a makeshift harness to send everything across, including food, supplies, small animals, and even kids in backpacks. The cable is reportedly around 50 years old, about 800 meters long and roughly 300 meters high, and the ride takes around 30 seconds each way, saving locals an estimated 2 to 3 hours of walking.
