MSLast week’s Fireside Sessions at the Electric Lodge was truly something special ✨
I’m still feeling so grateful for the invitation, the beautiful energy in the room, and the kind of intimate vulnerability that only a songwriter circle like this can create. It was an honor to share that space—and even more of an honor to be accompanied by the incredibly talented Ted Russell Kamp.
There’s something magical happening with these sessions… a space where stories are held, songs are felt, and connection runs deep. I loved every second of it 🤍
I shared a brand new song, “Here Today”—a piece I just finished recording and will officially be releasing everywhere on April 24 🎶
To celebrate the release, I’ll be performing live with the full band at Mollie Malone’s on April 23 at 9PM, alongside Coyote Call and Black Water Railroad Company.

Lie To Me is about the otherworldly feeling of knowing that you and your person/lover are not connecting anymore and that you are stuck miles apart. It is a joyous ode to long distance denial. The song is inspired by Stevie Wonder’s Signed Sealed Delivered. It started as a demo by the swimming pool in Palm Springs set to 109 BPM - same as Signed Sealed Delivered. The idea was always to have lots of vocals and keep the music sparse but groovy and danceable. The kind of tune my grandma used to love at Bar Mitzvahs. The bridge is the song’s crescendo when Gretchen and the backup singers literally chant L.I.E TO ME over a second riff again with fuzz guitars, retro keys and bells. The back up vocals from @lovelyshanayj and @rhettasimone are also very important; they give the song an R&B meets Fleetwood Mac vibe.
