Whether it’s freezing when everyone else is comfortable or feeling like you’re overheating out of nowhere, managing body temperature can be a real challenge! When I was working as a PT, one of my go-to strategies for patients feeling faint was to grab ice and apply it to the palm side of their wrist and the back of their neck. This little trick helps constrict blood vessels and redirect blood flow back to the brain—a great hack if you feel dizzy or lightheaded. 🧊 For those freezing moments? I flip the script and go for a heating pad in those same spots—the wrist and neck. Why? These areas have a lot of blood vessels close to the surface, making them perfect for quick temperature adjustments! 🔥 But what about when you’re on the go or just trying to be productive? That’s where I’ve started experimenting with the Embr Wave, a little gadget that looks like a smartwatch but works like a personal hot/cold therapy device for your wrist. It’s designed for the palm side of the wrist, but I’ve gotten creative! I’ve held the pod up to places like my ankle, lower back, or even other spots where I need a little help.
